

DealerDex.com is an online lead generation firm for automobile dealers. Founder Jeff Raab says the firm is focused on providing real-time phone leads for dealers; leads that can quickly be converted to sales.
DealerDex.com uses Marchex's call tracking program to help it determine the most effective online search placements and to quantify calls to its clients. Call tracking has enabled DealerDex to show some dealers that search placements are netting 50 to 60 calls a month.

Raab says DealerDex.com tests the effectiveness of search campaigns on Google, MSN and Yahoo! using proxy Web sites for dealers. Web searchers are directed to the proxy sites, which have phone numbers unique to the search site. DealerDex.com can then look at phone calls generated to assess which campaign is working best for a client.
“We're focused on determining the best tactics to get someone to call,” Raab says. “Web form leads are good. Phone calls are better.”
DealerDex.com brands the information portal which provides its clients real-time access to phone call recordings and call reporting.
Before using Marchex Voice Services, Raab says DealerDex.com was just able to monitor clicks on Web sites, with limited understanding of what specific actions visitors were taking. Now, both DealerDex.com and its clients know exactly which marketing tactics and campaigns provide the best return for their advertising dollar.
“We know how many leads, how many calls and how much traffic we generate for each client. We then interpret the data and optimize each campaign to deliver the best results,” Raab says.
